Acrylic Nail Extensions

The most resilient of nail extensions.  It’s a combination of a liquid and powder that creates a hard protective layer over your natural nail and false tips. The mixture hardens from exposure to air and creates a canvas for artwork or can be left as applied.

How long it takes: About 1.5 to 2 hours or more for a full set, depends on required finish.

How long it lasts: Two to four weeks before requiring infills.

How to take it off: Best removed professionally at a salon to avoid damage to the nail bed.

How it affects nail health: If removed properly, you shouldn’t expect much damage. Nails may appear a bit weaker due to the fact that they’re filed down before application to give the mixture added grip. Its important not to overfile nails. Your technician will ensure this doesn't happen. Always use cuticle oil to keep nail beds hydrated.

(Badly bitten & very small nail plates don’t always suit this treatment but this is still something we can work with. Weak, brittle and damaged nails will also need a consultation so we can give you the best advice and information on how to improve their health before applying Acrylic. Any infections to the nail plate or around the cuticle area will also affect the treatment progression, but we can advise the best course of action for you).
